The story of Yoga Searcher began in 2013, when yoga teacher Bénédicte Peroz transformed a former Landes farm into Mecca of well-being hosting yoga retreats. A year later, the brand from Hossegor launched its own collection of eco-designed yoga clothes. Made in Portugal in OEKO-TEX certified workshops (a label that guarantees textiles free of toxic products for the body and the environment), all the pieces are made from materials of natural origin and recycled fibers. Originally, Organic Basics is a Copenhagen-based sustainable underwear brand, created by three Danish friends tired of constantly throwing away and buying lingerie that wears out too quickly. Their very soft stretch texture with a “second skin” effect and their simple and refined design are enough to seduce Yogis. In Iranian, “Azar” means “Fire”. It is also the third name of the founder of the brand, Victoire Flochel, a young entrepreneur who has just graduated from the Institut Français de la Mode. For two years, Victoire and modelers from sport and lingerie worked on this range of bras and leggings which associate comfort, ethics and aesthetics. All the clothes are made in a small factory in Portugal near Porto, where good humor and respect for the employees reign, led by the sexagenarian chief designer “Mrs. B”. Solid and technical, fabrics from Italy are OEKO-TEX certified (a label that guarantees textiles without products harmful to the body and the environment). A pioneer at the time, yoga teacher Hélène Duval launched the first French brand of clothing and accessories exclusively dedicated to yoga in 2014.
