On September 2, a show of the new Louis Vuitton men’s collection spring-summer 2021 took place. Fans of creative director Virgil Abloh could watch the event live on the brand’s official Instagram account. However, the designer decided to rethink the online format. He set off his new collection on a real journey: the first part of the show took place in August in Shanghai, and now it’s time for a second show – this time in Tokyo.
The destruction of stereotypes and frames became the main leitmotif of the collection. The designer suggested taking a completely new look at what men’s fashion should be. There is not a drop of elitism and severity in the new looks, on the contrary, even the business trouser suits are playful. Psychedelic prints, bright colors and unusual accessories in the form of plush toys – this is how Abloh represents the men’s fashion of the future.
However, the designer did not stop there and decided to add even more fun to the show. So, the main decoration of the podium was huge balloons in the form of dragons and other fantastic animals.
