After the coronavirus pandemic, life is gradually returning to its usual course, as evidenced by social events that take place in a traditional format. The MTV Video Music Awards took place last weekend and the 77th Venice Film Festival kicked off this week.
Among the celebrities who have already walked the carpet was Cate Blanchett: she was honored to lead the jury of the film festival this year. The 51-year-old actress, contrary to the established tradition, chose not a floor-length dress for the publication, but a more interesting and unexpected image.

Blanchett opted for a stylish jumpsuit with striped print in black and silver. Despite the fact that the striped print is relevant in any interpretation this season, stylist Kate Elizabeth Stewart approached the choice with caution. The fact is that a horizontal strip can visually spoil the figure. On the contrary, the vertical strip strongly stretches the silhouette, which, with Kate’s height at 1.74 meters, would also not play into the hands of the actress.
Therefore, the horizontal stripe gave a completely new sound to the image, which helps to define the waist and make the figure more slender. A striking addition to the look is a wide belt with red inserts, thanks to which a rather restrained outfit looks more advantageous.
