Christian Lacroix and Damart
Damart has been working on collaborations for several years now to bring its iconic Thermolactyl to more offbeat universes, far from the image one can think of, alternately glamorous, streetwear, retro, even futuristic. And if you thought that Thermolactyl was limited to fine rib T-shirts and tank tops, you haven’t yet taken a look at the latest Damart collections. Chantal Thomass, Andrea Crews, Albertine, and Heimstone have already worked to give a facelift to its anti-cold material, and it is now up to Christian Lacroix to stick to it for winter 2020.
At stake ? A collection of six anti-cold pieces that are both trendy and cocooning, articulated around cashmere, and embellished with patterns, embroidery, and flamboyant colors, dear to the great French designer. In addition to printed leggings, a sweater, a scarf and cashmere socks, we discover an imposing down jacket, XXXXL version, Thermolactyl lined. Enough to spend a warm winter without compromising on style.
“At a time when we all need to reinvent ourselves, to consume better and less, I imagined a wardrobe accessible to all. This collection imagined for Damart plays on my favorite tones of red and pink, of a certain idea southern and warm, but with a rather interior warmth, like a sensation. As for the embroidery, it evokes a sentimental warmth, linked to the heart, meteorological with the sun, and sensual with the mouth, the ‘lips-kisses’ “, explains Christian Lacroix.
