Favorite celebrity perfume: 7 scents
Each of us has our favorite perfume. And celebrities, of course, are no exception. Often these are not the perfumes for which they are invited to appear in commercials. But sometimes there are exceptions, and famous film and stage artists are happy to demonstrate the scents that they like. We invite you to find out what perfume celebrities love?
Madonna: “Hypnotic Poison” by Christian Dior
A real legend and pop diva of the world stage. She has achieved the highest peaks in the world of music and cinema. It is impossible to ignore Madonna: she is either idolized or envied! She owns the phrase: “Fragrances need to be changed like gloves, or even more often!” But she also has a favorite perfume, and this is the equally legendary and rather eccentric “Hypnotic Poison” by Christian Dior.
The aroma is very intense, quite sweet, but at the same time exquisite. He makes you turn around after the woman who “put on” such a perfume. The main audible notes are licorice, coconut and sweet almonds, as well as apricot and plum fruits. They are perfectly complemented by jasmine and orange blossom flowers. Vanilla and tonka beans complete the composition. It is believed that “Hypnotic Poison” is more suitable for evening use or for the cold season.
Kate Middleton: “Orange Blossom” by Jo Malone London
The main star of Buckingham Palace prefers British brands. This applies not only to clothing, but also to perfumery. One of Kate Middleton’s favorite scents is Orange Blossom from the English brand Jo Malone London. He was so fond of the Duchess of Cambridge that on her wedding day, diffusers were placed throughout the palace, spraying this perfume.
The Jo Malone London brand initially specialized in the production of bath accessories and candles, and later began to produce fragrances that repeat exquisite combinations. “Orange Blossom” is one of the most successful creations of the brand. Its bright citrus notes include mandarin and lime, and are complemented by exquisite white lilac and lotus flowers and orange blossom.
Megan Markle: “Wood Sage & Sea Salt” by Jo Malone
You will hardly be surprised, but the wife of the second prince of the English throne, Meghan Markle, also fell in love with the exquisite fragrances from Jo Malone. However, unlike the Duchess of Cambridge, the Duchess of Sussex does not like sweet fruity aromas, preferring restrained herbaceous-woody perfumes. This is what Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone is.
A classic cologne of light consistency and medium durability, with tart woody notes. Bitter grapefruit is combined with spicy sage, and the composition is complemented by ambrette seeds and red algae. This perfume can be considered unisex and is suitable for both men and women. Don’t forget that like many other Jo Malone fragrances, the perfume is complemented by a whole series of body care products with the same scent.
Gigi Hadid: “Acqua di Gioia” by Giorgio Armani
This is the example we mentioned in the introduction to our article. Many celebrities are the face of some brands, cosmetics and, of course, perfumes. Model Gigi Hadid is happy to advertise Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid and Tommy Hilfiger’s The Girl. Although not so long ago, she admitted that she prefers to use “Acqua di Gioia” by Giorgio Armani for every day.
The fragrance was released a long time ago, back in 2010. Yes, after that limited editions and “re-releases” were released. But Gigi does not change the very first version of “Acqua di Gioia” – a light aquatic scent with floral notes. The first audible notes of perfume are lemon and mint, then the flowers of peony, jasmine and pink pepper come into play. The composition is rounded off with labdanum, tart cedar and sweet brown sugar.
Doutzen Cruz: “Reveal” by Calvin Klein
Doutzen Cruz is another model who, like Gigi Hadid, participates in the legendary Victoria’s Secret show. But Doutzen, unlike Gigi, is very fond of exactly those perfumes, whose face he is. This is “Reveal” from Calvin Klein. The brand’s perfumers themselves describe the fragrance as sunny-oriental. And Doutzen claims that she likes him for his sweetness, light powderiness, but without excessive cloying.
Calvin Klein’s “Reveal” perfume is brightest with notes of iris and sandalwood, which go well with each other. There are three types of pepper in the heart of the fragrance – pink, black and white. And the most unexpected note was the smell of … sea salt, which reminds of tanned skin on a sea beach. Sensual amber, vetiver and cashmeran are also skillfully woven into the composition.
Rihanna: “Moon Sparkle” by Escada
Who knows this hot beauty from the state of Barbados? She loudly declared herself her complete independence. Rihanna herself writes both lyrics and music for her songs, and also actively participates in dance shows and films. In addition, she owns several brands, including a perfumery one. But the singer has repeatedly admitted that she really likes the fragrance from Escada called “Moon Sparkle”.
These perfumes from a well-known perfume brand are also not new, they were released in 2007, and since then have conquered millions of women with their versatility, tenderness and sophistication. The composition consists of juicy fruit notes (raspberry, strawberry and black currant, red apple and citrus), complemented by flowers (jasmine, rose, freesia, white peas). The fragrance is rounded off by elegant sandalwood, amber and musk that add spice.
Kim Kardashian: “Michael” by Michael Kors
The Kardashian family does not seem to need fragrances from other brands. After all, almost all of them successfully produce their own cosmetic and perfume lines. However, Kim herself, perhaps the most famous among her relatives, easily admits that for years she has not changed one classic scent from her beloved Michael Kors brand. This is a perfume released in 2000 under the name “Michael”.
What did they fall in love with a socialite and a businesswoman? Firstly, it is quite traditional: the fragrance is floral with the main notes of tuberose, white freesia, peony, iris, calla lilies and osmanthus. The composition is complemented by tamarind, incense, musk, vetiver and Kashmir wood. Quite unusual and very elegant aroma that can be used both day and evening.
