At the shows in Milan, it was impossible not to notice the abundance of fringe. This decor dominated the Prada fall-winter 2020 show. Miuccia Prada adorned dresses, skirts, costumes with fringes – almost all the items presented in the collection. The passion for this decor can be understood, it immediately makes the image as effective as possible. The collection included dresses in the spirit of the 1920s, and skirts in the style of the Wild West – the designer seemed to want to emphasize how different fringe is and how cool it can look under any fashionable circumstances.
The duet of Lucy and Luca Meyer from Jil Sander also confessed their love for fringe. In the fall-winter 2020 collection, designers presented floor-length dresses with thin threads flying in different directions. Alberta Ferretti also supported the trend. The brightest catwalk exits were not without spectacular fringe. Another important example is the Fendi collection, whose show was closed by Kaia Gerber in a translucent black dress with the finest fringe.
