Option one: homemade “Napoleon” from thin lavash
It’s simple, in this budget recipe, the main labor costs will go to making a delicate cream.
Do not tell anyone from what you “baked” the cakes. Let them tell fortunes.
- 2 thin pita bread;
- 100 g of any peeled and roasted nuts.
For the cream:
- 1 egg;
- 100 g of sugar;
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- zest of half a lemon;
- 5 g vanilla sugar;
- 70 g butter;
- 1 glass of milk (250 ml).
Combine the sugar with the egg, add the starch, vanilla sugar and lemon zest. Then pour in the milk and, with constant stirring, bring the cream until thick. Add butter to the still warm cream and beat until fluffy. The cream is ready.
Grind the nuts in a coffee grinder or blender, a mixture of different types of nuts will give the cakes a unique taste.
Cut the lavash into 15 × 15 cm or 10 × 10 squares. In the first case, it will be mini-cakes, in the second – portioned Napoleon cakes.

The final touch is the assembly of ready-made cakes.
Three alternating layers – lavash, cream, nuts, then repeat – lavash-cream-nuts. There can be as many layers as you wish, even build a turret, if only there is enough lavash and cream. Or within reason to a standard height of 10 centimeters.
Leave the culinary masterpiece to soak for two hours at room temperature. You can serve!
Option two: “Banana house”
When bananas, cottage cheese and cookies appear in the house, an irresistible craving arises once again to build the same banana house, with the recipe for which I met in distant youth.
You can quickly prepare this version of the cake without baking, there is a minimum of products, especially children like the assembly of the house. As a gift, such a dessert is always perceived with delight.
- 15-20 sugar cookies (Baked Milk, Jubilee
- 3-4 bananas – for a large cake, one – for one modest tea party;
- 200 g softened butter;
- 500-600 g of fresh cottage cheese;
- 1-2 st. spoons of sugar.
- additives to taste: steamed raisins, vanilla on the tip of a knife, pieces of dried apricots
Optionally, for sprinkling the finished dessert, you can use carob, coconut, chopped nuts, grated chocolate, powdered sugar, and even grated sweets
There are several options for cooking a banana house. The simplest one is: place the cookies in warm milk for a few seconds and put the bottom layer along the length of the banana on a cutting board covered with foil, connecting the cookies with each other with cream.
Put a banana on this layer and make the top layer of cookies no longer flat, but in the form of a triangle. That is, we put our banana in a house under the roof.
We grease all the cookies with a lot of cream, leave to soak.
Cream recipe. We mix cottage cheese with sugar and soft butter, add raisins, vanilla and whatever else we allowed ourselves to add to it. This will be enough, however, you can stir in a banana mashed with a fork, then the cream will also be aromatic-banana.
Butter can be substituted for sour cream, yogurt, or cream to reduce calories. Then they need to be taken less, to taste.
The number of rows of cookies in the first base layer depends on the size of the dessert and for how many people.
If the cookies are oblong, you can lay out the bases of five cookies long and three wide. Then you will need to cut out the “foundation” of thick cardboard, slightly larger than the size of the dessert, and cover it with cling film or place the cardboard in a new clean plastic bag.
We place the side cookies in the form of a house neatly so that the overall structure is stable, beautiful and harmonious.
