How to make a low-calorie meat pizza?

There is no need to throw sun-dried tomatoes from the foothills of Vesuvius at the author, they are delicious. But today we will cook pizza in a special way, sharply deviating from the traditional recipe of the Greeks and Romans.

As a basis for pizza we will use … minced meat. Yes Yes! For one standard pizza 20-25 cm in diameter, you need 450-500 grams of lean chicken or turkey mince.

You can use a ready-made, store, industrial production from a trusted manufacturer. Ideally, though, it’s best to take a little time to twist the chicken / turkey breast into pieces of meat cut from the thighs and drumsticks. No skin.

Add one chicken egg, salt, pepper, half a glass of bread crumbs and a little olive oil to this light, fragrant mince. You can season with your favorite spices, not forgetting that this is only a base, a flatbread, and the filling of an open pizza will be filled at will with different ingredients, which also need to be sprinkled abundantly with seasonings.

Stir the minced meat very thoroughly and roll out a thin meat cake directly on the greased parchment and put in a baking dish. The thickness of the meat base for pizza is no more than 1 cm.

Pizza base need to be greased with sauce. To choose from:

Since it is difficult to find a classic Pompeian oven for traditional baking of pizza, you will have to send the finished pizza to the oven for 20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. The main thing is not to overexpose! The meat base must be baked, and the filling must not burn or dry out.

After the pizza is ready, sprinkle it liberally with a mixture of your favorite herbs – oregano, green basil and black pepper.

Classic pizza is always round in shape, but since this culinary recipe is far from the classics, you can prepare an oval, square or oblong-shaped meat base.

The main thing is to put your soul, love in the preparation of the dish and serve non-nutritious meat pizza beautifully. With a glass of dry red wine.
