Why should dairy foods be in the diet of a child and an adult? The thing is that milk is rich in calcium, magnesium, protein, folic acid. It contains a lot of vitamin substances – representatives of group B, as well as tocopherol, retinol. The product also contains such a rare ergocalciferol – vitamin D, also called the vitamin of the sun, youth and life.
Consuming dairy foods regularly is a good way to maintain bone health. One cup of milk or yogurt is enough to cover 1/3 of a person’s daily calcium requirement. Doctors and nutritionists recommend eating dairy daily. It can be not only milk, but also kefir, yogurt, fermented baked milk, cottage cheese, as well as dairy products.
Having a carton of milk at hand is the easiest way to prepare milk porridge: rice, oatmeal, semolina, buckwheat, millet. If this simple dish does not seem very appetizing to you, you can try to cook it in a more original way. There are many interesting recipes for milk porridge.
To prepare milk porridge “Healthy breakfast”, you will need to stock up on a set of products consisting of:
- milk – 3.5 cups;
- buckwheat groats – 1.3 cups;
- cream – 0.5 cups;
- granulated sugar – 2 tablespoons;
- salt to taste;
- oranges – 2 pcs.;
- bananas – 2 pcs.;
- kiwi – 4 pcs .;
- fresh mint – to decorate the dish.
Buckwheat should be sorted out, sifted from dust, but not washed. After that, the cereal is poured with milk and boiled until the milk has completely boiled away.

- peaches – 2 pcs.;
- grapes, lemon or orange peel, salt – at your discretion.
Rice is washed, poured into boiling water and boiled for 5-8 minutes. Then they are thrown into a colander or sieve, allow the water to drain completely.
The boiled rice is transferred to a saucepan, poured over with hot milk and, stirring constantly, boiled over low heat for a quarter of an hour. Then add salt, sugar and cover the porridge with a lid. Put a saucepan of milk rice in a water bath for 10 minutes so that the porridge will stop.
The dish is allowed to cool slightly, after which beaten eggs are introduced into it. Mix thoroughly. They are laid out on heat-resistant plates, decorated with slices of peaches, sprinkled with zest and sent to the oven for 5 minutes. Porridge is served, decorated with grapes.
Even ordinary semolina, which children do not like so much, can be turned into a very tasty dessert that no child will refuse. Pamper your household milk delicacy based on semolina called “Orange”… To prepare it, take a set of products consisting of:
- milk – 200 g;
- semolina – 3 tablespoons;
- sugar – 2 tsp;
- oranges – 2 pcs.;
- grapes and fresh mint – for decoration.
Cook thick semolina from milk and cereals. Do not forget to add sugar to your taste during cooking. You can make the porridge more appetizing by adding a little vanillin to it.
Cut the orange in a zigzag manner in a circle in the center to make 2 baskets from the rind. Carefully remove the pulp and cut into small pieces. Mix it with chilled porridge. Fill the baskets with the resulting filling, garnish with grapes and mint leaves.
Other fruits can be stuffed with semolina porridge. Cook for loved ones fragrant and delicious milk and fruit dessert – stuffed peaches. To do this, you need to take:
- several large peaches;
- 200 g of thick semolina;
- grapes – for decoration.
Cut the peach in half and remove the pit. Using a teaspoon, remove some of the pulp from the half of the fruit, forming a depression for the filling. Mix the pulp with the porridge and fill the peach halves with it. Decorate the dessert with grapes.
If desired, you can add raisins, nuts, lemon or orange zest, pieces of fresh fruit to the filling. Instead of a peach, you can try stuffing a pear or baked apple in the same way.
