Jil Sander finally unveils results of collaboration with outdoor brand Arc’teryx

Recently, Jil Sander + shared a preview of the collaboration with the Arc’teryx brand, and now they have shown the entire collection. It combines elements of winter sports, including skiing and snowboarding.

The capsule included 3 jackets: men, women and unisex, as well as striped trousers and a one-piece suit. All pieces combine the aesthetics of Jil Sander with the functionality of Arc’teryx, while technical fabrics such as 3L Gore-Tex are used alongside leather. All items are designed in classic black and white colors, as well as a blue-gray shade inspired by glaciers.

In an interview with Hypebeast, Jil Sander’s creative directors Lucy and Luc Meyer toldthat they were introduced to the Arc’teryx employees by a mutual friend a few years ago, and since then the parties have been hatching the idea of ​​collaboration. The designers turned to the theme of country life because both of them went skiing and snowboarding since childhood, went hiking and traveled in the mountains, and now they often travel to the Swiss Alps.

“We love nature and mountains, and working on clothes that we could wear in these places was special for us,” Luke and Lucy admitted. Arc’teryx, in turn, brought the necessary knowledge and experience to the collaboration to create high-tech products, which was extremely necessary for the implementation of the collection’s ideas. Thanks to this collaboration, Jil Sander + x Arc’teryx clothing is functional, yet stylish and sophisticated in design.

The release of the collection is scheduled for November 10. The items will be available at Jil Sander online stores, Arc’teryx and select retail stores around the world.
