Check out some of the hottest trends from New York Fashion Week “Spring 2015»And choose your favorite models for the next season.
Decorating in 3 D format
Three-dimensional additional elements – especially with a floral accent – returned this spring to the catwalks of stylists Monique Lhuillier, Denis Basso and Michael Kors.
Silver
Metallic fabrics are relevant this season as well, and silver has become the key. This was seen in the shows of Noon by Noor, Jenny Pakham Marc Jacobs.
Cropped Tops
The peak of fashion next year will be tops-bras. They’re more revealing than the belly tops fashionable this spring and summer. This is evident in the collections of Donna Karan, Phillip Lim and Delpozo.
Fringe
The fringe elements, which are relevant this season, will keep the leading positions in the next year. For Fashion Week this season, designers Elie Tahari, Osklen and Milly have added fringe details to their designs.
Dusty shades
Designers have tried to avoid pastel colors this season and have opted to replace them with shades that look like you’ve just walked through a sandy desert. Similar colors are striking on the catwalks of Mara Hoffman, Jason Wu and Jill Stuart.
Transparent fabric
Hold on to the sheer outfits you purchased this season as they’ll be back with renewed vigor next season. We noticed transparent elements in Carmen Mark Valvo, Adam Lippes, Badgley Mischka.
Checkered linen
This beautiful look has appeared frequently in many collections for the spring season, including Oscar de la Renta, Altuzarra and Diane von Furstenberg.
Cape
One of the most unique trends this season is the adorable cape, reminiscent of the white Tom Ford cape dress on actress Gwyneth Peltrow for the 2012 Academy Awards. We saw this element on Zac Posen, Noon be Noor and Anne Sui.
Yellow
The most common shade at the shows of the next season is yellow. We observed this color in different intensities from a bright yellow sun tone to a delicate color of buttercups. The highest priority versions appeared in A Detacher, Cushnie at Ochs and Carolina Herrera.
Spy print
The dizzying designs on the models clearly evoked optical illusion in the collections of Bibhu Mohaparta, Boss Women and Derek Lam.
Dark Colors
The designers have taken a serious turn by replacing the cheerful models of the past spring-summer season with rich dark shades. We saw vibrant colors in samples from The Row, Phillip Lim, and Creatures of the Wind.
Skirts under dresses
Our favorite example of the creative line in this season’s runway is a dress over a mid-length skirt. This is noticeable with Marissa Webb, Rebecca Taylor and Koonhor.
Blue
Another notable shade – especially in evening dresses – is blue. This heavenly color is in the collections of Chistian Siriano, BCBG Max Arzia and Honor
Stripes
Striped print has graced all shows this season. The classic look has been modernized in various shades and fabric widths. We liked the suggestions from Altuzarra, DKNY and Naeem Khan.
Sports girl
Sports details are still popular, so don’t stow your sweatpants or sweat dresses in the closet. This trend is evident with Adeam, Alexander Wang and Milly.
Solid platform
Despite its popularizing effect, the solid platform shoe has become the mainstay of choice at many venues including Clover Canyon, Michael Kors and Creatures of the Wind.
Jeans
Remaining classics on the one hand, the denim garments have reincarnated as definitely new styles for this season. The old fabric has moved into interesting loose fit models in the J. Crew, Eckhaus Latta and A Detacher collections.
Gladiators
This rude shoe by its name has been showcased in a variety of styles and offered in awe-inspiring contrast in many women’s collections. We highlighted this with Boss Women, Tibi and Cynthia Rowley.
