
Lavender essential oil: what are its benefits and how to use it?
Thanks to its soothing, healing and antiseptic properties, lavender essential oil helps fight against many small daily ailments, such as certain skin conditions, nervous disorders or even certain pains. This ET, which smells of Provence, comes in three varieties:

Lavandin essential oil is mainly used in diffusion to provide a state of well-being or relaxation. This ET is also contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
The essential oil of true lavender is the best known and the most complete of the essential oils of lavender. Obtained by distillation of the flowering top of lavender from the hills and low mountains of the Mediterranean basin, it has many health benefits.
True lavender essential oil: a powerful antispasmodic
The essential oil of true lavender is a powerful antispasmodic. It is therefore indicated in particular in the event of cramps, contractures and muscle spasms. This is why this product is an essential of the sports medicine cabinet!
True lavender has calming effects
Are you anxious? True lavender essential oil can help. And for good reason: if it is effective in the treatment of certain physical problems, it is also useful against certain psychological disorders. Calming, sedative and antidepressant, the essential oil of true lavender is therefore indicated in cases of stress, anxiety, depression, restlessness and insomnia.
True lavender essential oil: an asset for the skin
People who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, but also those who present with burns, itchy sores or ulcers of the skin, may also enjoy the benefits of true lavender. True lavender essential oil: an ally against hypertension
We know: stress is a factor in high blood pressure. As true lavender has a sedative and soothing action, it is also hypotensive. It can therefore be of interest to help lower blood pressure, in addition to appropriate medical monitoring.
How to use true lavender essential oil?
Do you suffer from anxiety? Put one to two drops of true lavender essential oil on the inside of your wrists and smell this area several times a day. You can also put a drop of this EO on your plexus. In case of intense anxiety, you can mix the essential oil of true lavender with an essential oil of ylang ylang or / and lemon verbena, also known for their soothing virtues.
In the event of sleep disturbances or insomnia, put two drops of true lavender on the back of your pajama collar or on your pillowcase to promote rapid and restful sleep.
Do you have a burn, sore, scar, or skin ulcer? Mix a drop of true lavender essential oil with a vegetable oil (jojoba, for example) and massage. Apply this mixture until it heals. To promote skin regeneration, you can also mix true lavender essential oil with Italian helichrysum essential oil.
True lavender: are there any contraindications and side effects?
There are no side effects or contraindications associated with the cutaneous use of lavender essential oil. However, the dosages and mixtures of essential oils are to be defined on a case-by-case basis. We must not forget that EOs have very powerful actions and that it is therefore important to handle them with caution.
