Gucci has unveiled a new campaign, Gucci Aria, a collection celebrating the brand’s 100th anniversary, which was created by creative director Alessandro Michele.
In addition to the models, the heroes of the shooting were the members of the Italian group Måneskin. Vocalist Damiano David, guitarist Thomas Raji, drummer Ethan Torkio and bassist Victoria De Angelis posed in vintage interiors in Gucci outfits for photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
In the Gucci Aria collection, creative power, revolutionary vision and freedom of expression are manifested in suits with sequins and feathers, leather pants, translucent shirts and more.
Filming took place at The Savoy Hotel in London. It was here that Gucci founder Guccio Gucci worked as an elevator operator many years ago and drew inspiration from the sophisticated and cosmopolitan outfits of the guests he loved to watch. It is also a reference to Madonna’s I Want You video, the soundtrack for the Gucci Aria campaign, which also takes place at the hotel.
