Positive news from France. As reported by the Danish royal family, Prince Joachim (51) was released from the university hospital in Toulouse, France, on Monday evening (August 3). The second son of Queen Margrethe II (80) had been operated there on July 25th because of a blood clot in his brain.
His health has improved so much that the doctors gave the go-ahead for discharge, it said. The younger brother of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark (52) is now staying at the Château de Cayx, a residence of the Danish royal family in southern France. Joachim and his wife Marie von Denmark (44) also thank the hospital staff for the “professional course”.
