Traditionally, the first in the entire fashion marathon was fashion week in New York, but it is being held with significant changes: many designers have left the schedule to wait for better times, while others show collections only in lookbook format. However, some designers try not to break traditions even in new circumstances: Ulla Johnson decided to renew traditions and held the show in a format familiar to everyone.

Against the backdrop of New York, at Four Freedoms Park, designer Ulla Johnson put on a dynamic runway show for the Spring / Summer 2021 collection. The designer of the brand managed to interpret Japanese techniques and motives in his collection – we see them everywhere: painted ethnic patterns, patchwork decorative ornaments (made entirely by hand in collaboration with craftsmen from Nairobi).

Dresses from flowing fabrics were replaced by overalls with sleeves-puff sleeves: the collection mainly contains romantic, relaxed silhouettes, fluidity and elegance. However, lovers of a more laconic structure also have something to focus on: a plain khaki pleated blouse, a suit with a skirt and jeans of a straight free cut.
