The popular service TikTok announced the start of its own alternative Fashion Week, which will be held entirely online and will end on October 8 with a large virtual party. From today on, the service will broadcast shows, presentations of new collections, interviews and master classes on creating stylish images from influencers and fashion bloggers, which can be viewed using the hashtags TikTokFashionMonth, GetTheLook and Fashion101.
JW Anderson, Saint Laurent, Alice + Olivia and Puma have already confirmed their participation in the project, and the last two brands will show capsule collections created especially for Fashion Week. “We’ve seen the industry reimagine the value of luxury for culture and society with the help of TikTok, bringing fashion to the home of our community during quarantine,” – said the head of TikTok for fashion partnerships Cese Wu in an interview with WWD.
