Sweet delicacies can also be prepared from the fruits of this shrub – jam, marshmallow, marmalade.

To prepare healthy rosehip jam you will need to take a set of products consisting of:

  • ripe rose hips – 5 kg;
  • granulated sugar – 2 kg.

Rosehip fruits are washed, their tails are cut off, and they are placed in a saucepan. Pour its contents with water (it should partially cover it). Boil the fruits until they become soft.

Rub them through a colander using a wooden pestle. The seeds are discarded, the puree is once again passed through a sieve to remove fine tough hairs from it.

The grated fruit mass is returned to the fire. Cook it until thickened, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Sugar is added towards the end of cooking. The readiness of the delicacy is determined by the remaining groove after passing along the bottom with a spoon.

Warm marmalade is laid out in jars. The containers are left open for 2 days. Then sprinkle the marmalade with powdered sugar and wrap the jar with parchment.

Store the product in a dry and cool place. It can be eaten as a ready-made dessert or used as a filling for baked goods.
