If you have a melon on hand and you want to surprise your loved ones with an original delicacy, prepare for them “Sunny mousse”.
To prepare a dessert, in addition to the sweetest fruit of the melon culture (500 g), you will need the following products:
- sugar – 3 tbsp. l .;
- vanillin – 1 sachet;
- citric acid – 1 pinch;
- gelatin – 20 g;
- boiled water – 130 ml.
First, you need to soak the gelatin in water and leave until the crystals swell. While they are soaked in water and grow in size, the melon is mashed. For this purpose, you can use a blender or simply grind pieces of melon pulp through a sieve.
The resulting puree should be smooth. It is sweetened with granulated sugar (if desired, this ingredient can be replaced with honey), vanillin and citric acid are added. The latter should be quite a bit – to give the taste of the food a slight sourness.
Dissolve the swollen gelatin in a water bath. When the contents of the container become homogeneous and liquid, it is poured into the melon puree and they begin to actively beat the mass with a mixer for 10 minutes.
The mousse will only have to be arranged in vases and cooled before serving in the refrigerator.
Another unusual summer dessert that will appeal to ladies who care about maintaining a slim figure is grilled melon… To prepare it, take a set of products, consisting of:
- melon slices – 12 pcs.;
- liquid honey – 4 tablespoons;
- cinnamon (powder) – 2-3 tsp
Preparing an original delicacy will not be difficult and will not take much time. You just need to peel each slice and fry it on both sides in a grill pan. In the absence of the latter, you can use an ordinary cast iron pan with thick walls and a bottom.
After frying the melon slices, they are laid out on a plate, poured with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon. Serve warm.
Most of all, in the summer heat, children will be delighted with ice cream. It can also be made with melon pulp.
To please loved ones with delicious and refreshing melon sorbet, the hostess will need to take products:
- melon – 0.5 kg;
- orange – 1 pc.;
- lime – 1 piece;
- honey – 2 tbsp.
First, the melon is washed, peeled, cut into cubes, removing the seeds. The melon pulp is mashed.
Citruses are peeled and squeezed out of juice. It is poured into melon puree. Mix thoroughly.
Introduce honey (it must be liquid). It is advisable to add to the mass and orange zest to give the cold dessert a richer aroma and taste.
The puree is mixed well again and transferred to a plastic food container. Close the container with a lid and put it in the freezer.
Sorbet will be ready in a few hours. Every 20 minutes, it will need to be taken out of the freezer and mixed so that it freezes evenly and there are no icicles from the juice in the finished product. It is advisable to leave the dessert in the cold overnight.
The finished sorbet is laid out in the bowls and decorated with a melon slice or a circle of orange. You can also add a sprig of mint.
